Common questions.
Who is a great fit for lessons?
Elementary and middle school band students (grades 4–9), brand-new beginners, and adult recreational learners looking for an encouraging, structured mentor.
How are safety and supervision handled?
The studio is parent-managed. All scheduling and communications are handled through Ray’s parents, and an adult guardian is always present during in-person sessions.
Do I need a clarinet before the trial?
If you have one, bring it so we can check your reeds and mouthpiece. If you’re renting soon, we’ll guide you to the best student models (Yamaha YCL-255 or Buffet Prodige).
In-person in Seattle or Zoom?
Both! Meet in-person in the Seattle area or join on HD Zoom with uncompressed studio audio. Switch anytime your schedule changes.
